About Mister Hope

My name is Mister Hope. I am a big, hairy artist, living and working in the small town of Buxton with my lovely wife Rachael.

Taking inspiration from artists such as Maurice Sendak, Quentin Blake, Richard Scarry, and Tim Burton, my drawings and paintings have evolved over the last few years into what it is today. With my wife kicking me into shape, i have branched out and started designing web graphics for MM&B Studio, and have experimented with t-shirt designs…more of that to follow…

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and my best friends are Mr. Pencil, and Mr. Paper, feeling that my style is much better suited to tradition. Very simplistic, and imaginative I often use watercolour paints to bring life and colour to my pictures. Recently however i have begun to use acrylic paints on canvasses with successful results.

Having also written and illustrated two of my own stories, I am currently working with New York Times Bestselling author Thomas E Sniegoski.

I have recently exhibited my art successfully at Thought Bubble Sequential Art Festival, and will be part of the Buxton Fringe Festival, exhibiting again with Mr. Martin Olsson.

I am available for commissions ! See news and gallery for my most recent works, and use the contact link to drop me a line!
